The $10 lunch special at Pink Elephant Thai sounds rather enticing, since this place is quite trendy and attracts the yuppie crowd from the downtown business core. But as a foodie, I was quite disappointed at their food. I seriously rather go to Thai Express for a much warmer meal, freshly cooked in front of my eyes. The noodles in my Pad Thai were lifeless. Just look at the pile of bean sprouts and the pile of crushed peanut sadly sitting on one side of the plate… This is hardly restaurant quality cooking! I felt like valium online pharmacy being served some food court noodles that were pre-cooked in large batches, and scooped out of a big serving tray.
Jac’s Red Curry Chicken was kind of underwhelming too – although if you don’t mind the overcooked chicken, the big-pot curry seems somewhat more acceptable. The meal also comes with a spring roll and a green salad. While the spring roll was okay, the salad dressing was awfully sweet and almost intolerable.
