We had some time to kill before our ferry from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay, so We decided to go for a late lunch and beer in Gibsons. It was a warm sunny day with only a few fluffy clouds. The ocean and the sky looked calm and beautiful. Perfect day to be sitting outside and having a icy cold beer. We were sitting outside of Grammas Pub on the 2nd level, where it was more of a solarium. It was busy with some folks watching World Cup on TV, but not crowded. I rather wanted to look at the gorgeous seaside views, and enjoyed Landing Lager I ordered. The beer was delicious. I ordered west coast fish burger with Halibut. It was really fresh and tasty. My friend’s pan fried oysters were just okay since I had been more of a raw oyster guy anyway. Liked their fries. The fries would have been perfect if they had taken some extra effort to absorb the oil. I was surprised to see they only had 33% rating on Urbanspoon. So maybe consistency was something they needed to work on.
