When I saw the cook stirring beef, veggies and yakisoba on the teppanyaki grill for my order, I knew how this was gonna turn out. And I was right, once I saw him pouring a ladle of broth into the greasy yakisoba, I could feel the frown on my own face. I don’t mind yakisoba at all, but I want soba in soup , not yakisoba in soup!!! And yes it was very salty and pretty gross. My colleague had the spicy yakiudon in soup, and all he could taste was the spicy chill sauce. Dreadful!!
I guess it was just not a good day for getting a lunch in downtown business district – it was the day after new year and it was also a Friday. Most restaurants in the area were closed. And I could only dream of getting a warm bowl of tasty noodle soup for this freezing cold weather.
