@Theos.Restaurant is probably the most beautiful Greek restaurant I have been to in North America, and it’s right here in Penticton, BC! The popular spot is reservation only. We attempted to find a walk-in table at 7 pm on a Tuesday evening and had to settle for a booked table for 8:45 pm.
The restaurant is said to be modeled after a Greek villa, featuring different unique enclosed areas for family dinners and special events. Lovely artifacts and art pieces are throughout the entire space. There is even a Romeo and Juliet table available for reservation.
Both the Lamb Shoulder ($35.95) and the Roasted Chicken ($21.50) are incredibly delicious with classic Greek herbs and seasoning and they are in huge portions. It always works beautifully when authentic ethnic dishes are prepared with fresh local ingredients – some of them are from their rooftop garden.
The house Greek white wine ($12) was a nice change from all the BC whites that we had been drinking. An Ouzo Lemonade ($7.95) is a great choice for some Greek flavour.
